Davidsonville Historic State Park

On the Black River in northeast Arkansas, in the foothills of the Ozarks, you can enjoy outdoor recreation and explore intriguing history of The Natural State. Davidsonville Historic State Park preserves and protects the townsite of historic Davidsonville: Established in 1815, it included Arkansas’ first courthouse, post office, and land office. Archeological excavations here have revealed a picture of life in frontier America in the early 19th century. Today, enjoying exploring history, plus boating and fishing on the park's Trapper Lake, and wildlife watching and relaxing on the park's easy hiking trails.
