Delta Heritage Trail State Park

Your journey on this historic rail route transports you through time, connects you with communities, and reveals rich Delta heritage. The park runs through some of the most remote and scenic areas in eastern Arkansas, and is a Rails-to-Trails site of national significance. Enjoy the 80+ miles of trail by walking or cycling it in sections. As you traverse three counties, watch for migrating songbirds, waterfowl, and butterflies. You will pass places of historic significance, including the “New Deal” community of Lake View, the World War II Japanese internment camp at Rohwer, and author Ernest Hemingway’s fishing spot at Yancopin.
