Lake Catherine State Park

Outdoor adventure at Lake Catherine State Park is shaped by the unique beauty and powerful natural forces of the Ouachita Mountains. This park was established in 1935 as one of the first Arkansas State Parks, and was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Evidence of those days can still be seen today in the park's Rustic-style CCC "parkitecture". Today, many outdoor activities are available here, including fishing, boating, paddling, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, and nature study. Just 15 miles away is Hot Springs National Park which is a fun day trip while enjoying your stay at Lake Catherine.
