Lake Chicot State Park

Lake Chicot State Park connects you to Arkansas’ largest natural lake with its calm waters, scenic cypress trees, abundant wildlife, and rich Delta heritage. Cut off centuries ago from the main channel of the Mississippi River when it changed course, this 20-mile long oxbow lake is a peaceful setting for fishing, boating, and birding. Famous for its bream, crappie, catfish, and bass fishing, Lake Chicot offers open waters and quiet timber-lined shores. With proximity to the Mississippi Flyway, this is a winter migratory bird hotspot. A nature trail also offers opportunity for hiking and wildlife watching.
