Mount Magazine State Park

At 2,753 feet, Mount Magazine is Arkansas’ highest point. Guests visit for the sweeping views alone, but there is much more to do here. This park is a special place for relaxing, exploring, and studying nature in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest. It is also a destination for outdoor sports and extreme adventures with mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, backpacking, and ATV riding.

This is the state park system’s most dramatic location for technical rock climbing, and is one of only two parks to offer hang gliding launch areas. Multiple scenic overlooks offer memory-making spots for capturing photos, reflecting on adventures, and pausing to fully take in The Natural State
