Mount Nebo State Park

Rising 1,350 feet above the Arkansas River valley, Mount Nebo offers panoramic views of Lake Dardanelle, the river, and surrounding mountain ridges. This has long been a favorite vacation spot with its cooler temperatures, lush vegetation, abundant wildlife, and breathtaking scenery. Established in 1927 as one of Arkansas' first state parks, Mount Nebo was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the early 1930s. Today, hikers, trail runners, and mountain bikers enjoy miles of diverse trails; hang gliders launch here; and nature enthusiasts come to relax and explore. Note: State Hwy. 155 into the park has many tight hairpin turns. It is recommended no trailers or RV above 24 ft. attempt the climb.
