Petit Jean State Park

Loved for generations, the dynamic landscape and enduring legacy of Arkansas’ first state park are yours to discover, experience, and protect. Petit Jean State Park lies in a unique area between the Ozark and Ouachita Mountain ranges in west-central Arkansas. Established in 1923, it includes 2500+ acres of natural beauty on Petit Jean Mountain. An abundance of mixed hardwood forests, ravines, streams, springs, waterfalls, spectacular views, and remarkable geological formations, that make this an outdoor recreation destination. You'll also find cabins, bridges, a lodge, and other Rustic-style log and stone structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s that still stand seamlessly on the landscape today.
